Womanity

The Time-Pressed Woman

If you always are rushing to work in the mornings, here is a quick quick face regime that you can do in just 4 minutes!

1 min: Cleanse your face with your regular facial cleanser.

o.5 min: Exfoliate. I like Dior Show White Reveal Wipe-Off Gel. Swipe it on your face for a quick exfoliating pick-me-up. Its quicker than normal exfoliating!

0.5min: Tone your face with your regular toner. If you have combination skin like me, I found a perfect toner for us! Estee Lauder's Perfectly Clean Fresh Balancing Lotion! It dries to a non-sticky finish which is why I love it so much!

1 min: Pat on an essence. I use Lancome's Genefique.

Essences are essential (haha) as they prime the skin to absorb the full effects of your moisturizer which is our next step...

1 min: Moisturize your skin in circular strokes. Take some time to pamper/massage your skin as this will relax you and prepare you for your crazy day ahead! If you like, you can use tinted moisturizer which will shorten your makeup routine later on!

Makeup in just 5 mins!

1 min: Conceal! Apply concealer on the inner corners of the eyes (never do the whole eye, you'll end up looking like suntan gone wrong) to brighten up the eye area. Also conceal around the nose if you tend to have redness in that area. I like to use a BB cream for the nose area as it provides more coverage and BB creams do help to even out the skin tone.

1 min: Line your eyes. I like to line the upper eyelid in black and the lower water line in white (white liners help to brighten up your eyes).

1 min: Add a light coat of mascara

0.5 min: Apply blusher to the apples of your cheeks

0.5 min: With a brush, lightly go over your face with powder *you can skip this step if you have good skin*

0.5 min: Gloss your lips and you're ready to go!

This makeup routine is awesome if you're like me and do not like to have too much makeup on or if you're in a really big rush on certain mornings.

Do you have a quick flash regime to recommend? Tell me!!

The Virtuostic Woman

What comes to mind when you think of a virtuostic woman? A woman adept in the household and managing the family?

In this modern age, women are increasingly prominent in the workplace and very few are full time housewives. Thus the perception of a virtuostic woman must change to suit the current social situation.

I prefer to think of the virtuostic woman as one who tries to excel not only at work but also at home. She tries to be a good employee, wife, mother and daughter and is always there for her friends. The virtuostic woman of the present is at the forefront of trends. She will not let herself go after marriage but will still make an effort to keep healthy and fit and take pride in her image.

The virtuostic woman will not obsess over getting younger (we all know there is no such thing). However, she will do one thing well and that is to age and age gracefully and beautifully.

The virtuostic woman is in fact, the perfect woman.

Let us all try to be that virtuostic woman. I hope to be one. Someday.
